five lug rear conversion

was just wondering if a rear end from a 85 yota will bolt right up or not

nope, i just got a rearend out of an 87 toyota (same generation) and it looks like i am going to have to get the driveshaft shortened some and get the u-joint assembly (pinion mounting flange, u joint and tube yoke) from the toyota put in the place of the mazda one.

I have a mazda rear end redrilled to 5 bolt.. comes with newer brakes..$250.00

I had a 5-lug conversion on mine. i just drilled the hoels a little inward and then grinded down on the thick part of the driveshaft where it meets the rear end so the bolts didnt go in sideways and it worked perfect. ill post picks later
