on the gc valves...i hear not to buy the 250's only get the 450's. i hear the 250's have too many problems with going bad, but this is from hear say not experience. i was hopeing to be buying all of my stuff this month but some stuff came up so i will have to wait until june. i hope to be entering the truck in the tx. heatwave in july.
what exactly goes wrong with the GC 250's?
you are correct sir...p/n=part #, yeah, i've seen them in mt before too, but i figured since i'm in the procurement biz if i had the p/n's i could look around to see if i could find them cheaper. you know try to help some fellow mt's out & save'm some dough on quality valves. i do know this much, the first 4 digits on a parker are the series # of the valve, even if that is the only p/n you can get, i can find the series & rest of the p/n's for 3/8" & 1/2" valves, 3/4" too if someone's running bags w/ 3/4" ports.
i am not real sure but my guess is that they are blowing an o-ring or something. i have already talked to 3 or 4 guys that said to get the 450's cause the 250's are junk. but like i said this is hear say not experience. if i get gc's they will be the 450's.
has anyone here had any problems with the 250's?
yeah me...I got 4 1/2 inchers lying around here somewhere....PAPERWEIGHT
i am running 4 gc250's on my front and have been doing so for about 6 months, this truck is daily drivin. i have had no problems, i also have 2 airlift 1/2 that i am going to use for my fills, and use the gc's for my dumps. i also have been reading a lot about people dissing gc but i dont care, i run um everyday with no probs.
most everyone i know runs the gc 450's or smc's. i won't know what i will install until june.
does anyone know what the noticeable difference between GC and SMC valves are? I've heard that ASCO has some dependable valves as well, anyone attest to that?
