I see what you mean about lifters now. I have the one with the nut tho. So should I adjust them to a certain lash or what? Im thinkin all the valves should be closed and at 1 lash setting when #1 is at TDC but please correct me if Im wrong.
my head is different, it deff has the nut and a screw on the end of the rocker

No it should have some valves open when at #1 Do you have the book it should give lash for int and exh
Not sure you would set #1 @ tdc you need to set them when the cam it the close position for that cylinder. Ill look in the book.

valve side clearance is .3mm for int and exh.
Alrighty, now how should I go about adjusting each one. Should I adjust them all to .3mm while #1 is at TDC or what.

Ok the big book didnt have it but the small one did it says .012 both int and exh. If you can get this book it would really help to set the valves haynes 1972 thru 1993 my other book didnt have the 2000 and that is the head you have is the 2000 with adjustable rockers.

Im not sure if I have the sprocket on right, I didnt pay attention when I took it off the cam. Does the A hole go on the peg or the b or cx? I have the "A" hole on the peg and pointing up right now.
