everybody i talk to says that if your gonna daily your ride to keep it on the rails not the body. what does everyone have against drving a bodied daily? i dont see what the big difference is gonna be other than a little bit of lost cabin space.

the lost cab space is exactly that. you lose that 2 to 5" of space. Now your knees hit the dash or the column, your feet are tucked awkwardly in the footwell to operate the pedals, you've lost headroom etc.

It basically makes the vehicle more awkward to drive. I've been in a couple bodied trucks and it just feels weird. I would personally never ever body a vehicle of my own. It's just rediculous to drive and be in.

That's my 2 cents.

What about a stock floor body drop? Your not going to lose any of the above^^^^

IDK, at 5'6" and bodied 2" the truck feels better to me. I could see where some would suck to drive daily with big drops, and if you were taller. Also keep in mind things like the pedals can be shortened if that causes issue. just my $.02

I'm 6'2" and have enough room. Traditional to the rockers. Get some seats that sit low to the floor.

i was gonna say the lower profile seat you have, something that sits closer to the floor would solve the knee smash into dash issue, and if you have an ext cab you can gain head/leg room just by sliding the seat back or leaning the seat back, add in a tilt column and you could be golden on all your room issues in a bd daily... i dunno... it just sounds like fun to me...

im 6'0 fatass lbs and the trucks got a 2 1/2 bd. im running a stock bench without modifications and a tilt column. i have NO, ill say that again, i have NO issues with driving it everyday. nothing hits my knees, the pedals are fine, my head doesnt hit the roof, my arm hangs out the window just right now. its all in how much you bd the truck. if you go to the door then yes itll be uncomfortable, but up to 3 and some change i feel itll be just peachy. justin you just need to drive my truck and see for yourself. open invitation to drive and drag that bitch........well before i get my new bed on......lol

this is exactly what i figured. im not worried about the room honestly because im only like 5'6" or so and 145lbs. i like it when the cabins are smaller honestly because it makes me feel like im in something lower and more compact. Mikey i may just have to come down there and take her for a spin. like ive been sayin i think i want to cut the rocker off like josh did on his and lay flat rocker. i believe he said his is like 3.25 so thats still not too too much. i assumed thats all that peoples complaints are was the cabin space but wanted to make sure that was it because i havent driven a bodied truck so i dont know all the pros and cons to it. thanks for the help guys.

yeah you also gotta think about the guys that are complaining might have been riding in a standard cab. x-cabs have more room to stretch out and slide back. justin youre more than welcome to drive it.
