stock up and get all the hand me downs you can even if you dont like the way they look, before you know it the baby will be grown and walking around and telling you whats up. go head and buy (while shes preg, before the baby comes, a crib, walker, stroller, car seat, dipers, wipes, and other misc. stuff, a good place to get good deals on new baby items is Ross, Tj Maxx and Marshals (yellow is a mutual color for cloths and what not untill), congrats on the baby and good luck

Ok....Well as stated you will NEVER be prepared. I promise. DO NOT GET MARRIED BECUASE YOU HAVE A KID TOGETHER. Stupid reason. Cost me over $25,000, almost my life, and almost my daughter. Marry for love. Back to the kid. Well along with the being prepared statements...WIC is awsome. The way I look at this is I pay a crap load to the governemnt--at least $8,000 when I was only making $33,000. So in my opinion what is wrong with getting a little help as long as you are earning it. Isn't that what the system was created for? NOt the low down crack head dopers that drive nicer rigs than I do, have a bigger TV and don't f-ing work. Anyways it does not need to be a permanent thing. As soon as we were weaning her off of formulathe WIC stopped. Then you also have a christian help group called Angel Food Ministries, they are awsome. You get a good amount of food and only pay a little. Contact your local church or google it.
The basics are always good to stock up on...diapers, formula (although that can be tricky if they are born and cant have normal formula as my oldest had to have soy), wipes, and onesies. As far as going out and spending the extra $2,000 now on a TV cause you won't be able to for several years...well that is kinda selfish. put it in the bank (or under the matress in todays economy) and save it. God forbid your child is born with health issues and admitted to the infant ICU. Then you are not working because you are by your childs side for weeks on end hoping she says alive. A lot of good that tv is doing then huh? I have had this almost lost my first born. She is perfect now but had a rough start. I would take this time while she is prego to get that third and fourth job and work your little ass off. Hell I am turning 30 this year and still work multiple jobs....this is after banking over $70k last year between the wife and I. You just never know what will happen. I wishh the best for you and your girl. I pray you have a helathy child as that is all that really matters.

Its a learning experience. Youll do fine! Baby's are pretty resiliant.
