well i already thought otf swapping the ecu's. if i do that i will have to have it programmed by honda at a rate of 65.00/hour. or swap the dash harness and not need the honda programming. but... i just talked to a friend up in nc, who deals with nothing but hondas, he said to visually check all the connections in the engine compartment (electrical, vacuum, etc.) to see if anything is visibly wrong.
told me to pull the dizzy cap and rotor and check them to see how they look, and to pull the plugs and let the extra fuel in the cylinders evaporate and install fresh plugs.
if i have to spend money, it will have to wait until sunday as i be broke now........lol
i need to do a compression test, tune up, possible oxy sensors, air filter, oil change. then go from there..... just the basics because it isn't throwing a code which pisses me off. if something is malfunctioning then throw me a code and let me figure it out!!!!!
damn hondas!

lol

back out to work on the car.

Hondas are pretty simple to work on, as you're probably already aware. It's one of the things that I love about them. I'm surprised you don't have a code though, usually if it's running super rich you'll at least get an O2 sensor code, and if an injector was stuck open you should get an injector code. Maybe it is the ECU after all.

well the only way you would get a code from the o2 sensor to pop up is if the engine was up o operating tempretures. but since i can only get it to run for 10-15 seconds.... there isn't enough time to get it up to operating temps. its not 1 injector... its ALL of them... every plug is refouled out. it might be the fuel pressure regulator pushing too much fuel into the injectors... say 15lb injectors getting 22lbs of fuel pushed to them...it will blow right thru them (that was just an example)
so who knows... will do a compression test tomorrow just to rule out bad piston rings....i could swap the ecu... but first i would have to have a blank key cut then piggyback the key to the new ecu onto the key for the 99's ignition switch... cost about 15-20 but it might have to wait until monday as i am tapped out now after buying it......lol

thanks for the help... any other suggestions?!?!?! bring them on!
