dxm does not show up in a drug test because it is cough and cold medicine.
I haven't seen yet where a judge would uphold a dui for cold medicine.
I'm not saying he's not a huge assole of a kid, he definately needs his ass kicked and to grow up, he just couldn't get in trouble for driving under the influence.

Sorry for your troubles man. Bad thing is, even if you whip his a$$ off, he's too phucking stupid to know even why you did it.

Sounds like the parents are enabling him more than anything. To me, you're double screwed. Her folks are nice enough to let you stay there, but then you feel obligated to be the good son-in law and take Mom to work.

Sounds like a lose-lose situation for you my friend. If anything else, beat his ass anyway. You'll feel better afterward.

Hope it all eventually works out in your favor. and sorry you're inheriting a tool for a brother-in-law someday

I'm with project84 on this one. But he deserves an ass kicking just for being one of those worthless that won't make an effort to support them selves.

Them parents of his need to start acting more like parents of his instead of a so-called friend of his. If they feel that it is better for him to disrespect them than to call the police for stealing their car and going on drug induced sprees when they need to work, then they have failed to understand parenting.

I dunno how old he is, but sounds like he is'nt old enough... Kick his ass, lol. Get in his face and show him some tough love. After, step up and be a role model or mentor for the guy as it sounds like the father does'nt care...

Other then that, to help prevent these from happening more and allowing you to get a good nights sleep and your mother-in-law to be can get to work on time with HER OWN car, install an in-line switch to the ignition so he cant turn the car over unless the switch is activated.

...yes?

next time he takes the car, call the cops, for a stolen vehicle. A swift asskickin might help out too, tho.

I say scare him a bit, get someone to follow him to wherever he goes, and when it's safe "take" the car and park it at their house so he thinks it's stolen.
Or just get them to kick his a$$.
Non violent option is to just take the lead off the coil, if he really is a stoner he'll just think it's out of gas and will find other transport.

I don't really know why her mom & dad let him get away with everything. Plus her mom gives him money all the time, he always says he'll pay her back but he never does, & it almost took an act of God to get her to loan her own daughter $20 & she always has paid her back.
