When I first saw the heading, I figured you were either re-uping or gonna go on the private /civilian side....great opportunity for you bro, though I know it will be hard to leave the family, I have had to do the same several times in the past...
I looked into it (civilian side) they were paying electricians about 150k a year, best part is that it is all tax free if you stay a year or so, may be 18 months, I think it varies from place to place or something like that....
best of luck to you & your family, hope all turns out for the best...
Just remember this, fly low & beat the radar, but stay above the sonar!!
I had an "old tymer" tell me that a long time ago, I never thought it to be true till a couple years ago, then it sank in that he was so right!!

Hell ya bro! do what youve got to do! If someone dosent support your desire to make a better life for your wife and kids, screw-um! But seriously man, Ive got a couple of friends in Iraq right now working in lajistics and making a ton of money doing it! Ive been offered but my wife said "hell no" my son was less than a year old when it was offered so I dont kknow if I could have been away from him for so long but I sure wish I had gotten that payday!! Good luck and keep us posted!

Best of luck to you man. You have a family that deserves the best you can do for them...to pass up a chance like that to provide for them in the future would almost be criminal.
You only live once,so may as well go all out when you have the chance!
