I have them on my Ranger. I put them on for this very reason. Everyone told me not to. So I did it lol
It was fully welded and braced. I am modifying the strut locations to provide better support and more lift. The hinges have enough travel and room to put the forward section of the door on the hood. Plus I can open the door enough to get in like normal.

Not anybody can do lambo's right. They aren't wings so they better not be flapping! Mine don't flap after i went through and added plates to the door and pillar.

Good point. I did see a young kid with the usual riced out civic. He was trying to put his door back on! I saw that huge hinge as I drove by. The plate was on the ground and he was trying to put the hinge in the pocket. I like suicide personally.
