Any Dodge owners here?!

i have an 02 with the 5.9 in it.i only get 8-10 in town, 13-15 on the highway. if you are just looking to increase fuel econ, dont buy any programmers. they are good, but they only give you like 1-2 mpg more. i bought a tornado for mine, before i drove to MI. i went from 13 to 15mpg. that was a big deal! as far as trannies go, im not sure. a guy at work just rebuilt his 5 speed out of his 98 with a v6 in it.

my dad has a 98 v10 ram and its done us great.(besides the gas mileage) weve towed a '36 enclosed trailer a bunch and my grandpa has towed his 5th wheel with it and no problems at all with the tranny.

My dad has had his 98 dodge ram with the 318ci in it, And he has owned it since Brand new, Never any issues with it, The transmissions arent "bad" persue, They just need to be maintained. If you do your scheduled maintenance on them as required by Dodge then no issues whatsoever, My dad truck is 2wd and gets an average of 16mpg in town and about 22-23 mpg Freeway at like 65mph, anyway I love that truck and would own one anyday, 98+ though the interiors on the 97- I think are ugly

Maybe I should have picked it up when I had the chance then!

The guy found out that he just burnt up his tranny fluid and just replaced it.

I guess he is going to still sell it now, but for $1500 more!
