I haven't eliminated this as a possibility yet, but if I decide to use the plastic bed liner then I won't be able to use this idea. I'm not quite there yet on the actual application, I still need to relocate the rear axle to compensate for the different bed. I'm going to do this by cutting the leaf spring mounts off and putting them closer to the cab.

I had a pre years ago with shaved fuel door, the fill neck was inside the wheel well in front of the rear tire. Hidden out of the way, always threw people off when I went to full it up...

That was also something that I was considering, but I couldn't figure out a nice way to mount it inside a B series wheel well. I would need to see a picture or ten to see if it is something that I wanna pursue. I'm going to be at stock height or higher with bigger tires, so I also have to keep that in mind

Well this is going to be harder than I realized. To get the necessary spacing with the bed that I plan to use, I would need to move the bed 9.5" forward, and also move the axle forward the same amount. Relocating the spring mounts and shock mounts won't be as easy to move forward as the frame isn't straight, it is slanted. Also I am going to need a shorter driveshaft. Pushed in all the way I only get an extra inch of spacing, so you can see where I am going to have trouble with this. Time to do some math

Mine wasn't mounted in any way, it was just anm exposed neck hiding in the wheel well... I dont have any pictures of it... Sorry

ah, that makes a bit more sense. I still would like to try to make a door for it of some sort. I noticed when I was mocking up how my bed was going to be sitting that the filler neck was in a really nice location. I might be able to fab up something that would be considerably easier to work with.
