if you are lowering and want a good ride bag it, cause once you start it'll never be low enough

I lowered mine in the front by cranking the torsion bars... I dropped the front about 2.5" and use Doetsch Nitrogen Drop shocks. In the rear I lowered it 5" by using 3" blocks and taking out two leaf springs. Keep the top leaf spring and the short "overload" spring to do this... it lets the rear "sag" about two inches. I have Doetsch Nitrogen Drop shocks in the rear as well. I ordered the shocks from Can Do Specialties online... the front shocks are the M4028G's and the rears are the 4095G's. The ride isn't cadillac plush, but it is much better than the typical lowered truck you see with stock shocks. Good luck with your truck.

depends on whel size too. i ran 185/60/14 on the stock chromies. and 195/50/15 on my pathies. i reindexed my torsions, flipped the bj's and in the rear ran main and overload leafs and 5" blocks. but i did notch my frame and built new lower shock mount plates for the rear. relocated the top mount point to my notch. i tucked my 15's! but it did ride ruff.

Nothing wrong with drop spindles except you have to run a 16" or bigger wheel. If you are planning to bag it later on you will not really need them unless you are going for 20's or bigger.
