Fuel Cell ??'s

nope no mechanical. It came stock carb'd has a stock gas tank and has an electrical fuel pump. So now what do i do about a fuel cell?

What you can do is get an inline fuel pump that is capable of the psi needed to run the truck...pretty simple...

i looked up a mechanical one and they all say its only capatible with manual tranmissions and i have an automatic, will it still work or does it matter

I have no idea why that would have anything to do with a transmission. I am sure it would work because there are many ppl that have a mechanical pump and have swapped over to an auto tranny from manual..

I also have a carb with electric fuel pump mines a 88 b2200 came stock that way. Anyway I believe that the stock psi for the fuel pump is 28-37psi. So look for a aftermarket inline fuel pump that delivers that much psi. Hope that helps.

i have a fuel cell ,and stock mechanical fuel pump works perfectly fine ,and i used stock fuel sending unit

My 82 has an inline electric pump that calls for 3 psi if i recall correctly. I had a problem with mine running and replaced mine and it cost me 40 bucks or so for a pump that pushed out 6psi or so and it only turned out to be a fuse. You can pick up a universal inline pump at any of your local parts stores pretty easily and fairly insexpensively. They are also going to be able to tell you exactly what psi your stock pump is pushing and give you one comparible to it. Its no biggie just talk to a parts store guy that has a little sense and can read which is hard to find around here.

28-37psi on a carb no friggin way? If I remember correctly the mechanical stock mazda pump was around 8-13psi on my inline gauge. I use a cheap inline electric fuel pump for carburetors that is available at just about any parts store for $30-40. It puts out 3-4psi all day long, but I have a Weber carb. I know you can get the models that run a few more psi like around 10-15psi and they are about the same price, if you still have a factory carb.

ok let me get this right. I alredy have a weber so i just need an inline fuel pump and i can get any simple ole fuel cell?
