Lol... just got a GMC Sierra with a 5.0 v8. Wonder how I'm so stupid to buy one in a time like this! I drive it reeeal easy though and coast thousands of feet before a light so when I get to it, its green light. Some people don't get my thinking though and get mad, haha.
well us southern folk still have our gas guzzlin v8s i have A 77 chevy k20 on 38s it gets like 8mpg but i drive my 35 mpg mazdawg to work and back so i guess we are the only ones not to hit 4 bucks a gallon yet we are still at 3.86
well gas will keep rising and our goverment officals will get richer and so will the oil companies. There will be no end in site to the rising of gas prices unless we as the true goverment put our foot down and start telling our ELECTED officals to stop this crap and do something about it remember they are doing a job that we hired them for and as we sit back and do nothing we have to stop that and stand up and get more involved and show these assholes who the true boss is.
i hear ya v8maz, i feel the same way. some days i feel we need to linch mob the f*ckers and show them that if they step out of line that we are gonna get pissed off and put ya in a tree for safe keeping lol
p.s. im proud to be Canadian but im not proud of the clowns who run Canada (Quebec sell out lawyers who line their pockets).
i wish canada as a whole would stand up for our selves and say no bugger off we need to help our people now and thats all, once we are strong as a country again then we can start helping random people who dont help us. that and we need to pull Bushes hand out of our ass like a puppet.
Hahaha.....yes we do. We are rich in oil in Canada and because of the global market (just like soft lumber, energy, cows, etc) the "global market" puts fear in everyone and drives up prices when supply is exceeding demand.
You took the words right out of my mouth.I was going to post the same calulations and fact. Gas prices are disgusting up here.
Hell, when I started driving in 2002, I was paying like 73 cents/L, now I'm paying $1.36 almost. Rediculous.
My Cadillac isn't so bad on gas, but my B4000 is a pig and I'm really feeling it in the wallet. $75-80 fillups are to be expected...2 to 3 times a week.
Glad i live in tn it's under $4 still and the price hasn't bothered me yet because this time last year i was spending $120 a week in gas and with a job change last summer and toatling my 4x4 nissan i spend $28 dollars a week but the down or up side (depends on how you look at it) is i drive my mazda everyday which was purchaced as a project but it is nice ridding low every day and i only live 13 miles from work it's funny the factories out here in the boondocks are all working 50 and 60 hours a week but they say the economy is slow
Looks like I really hit a nerve! Thanks for the support and comments, Oh and I agree on the economy statment "low down89" I work for a freight company, and Ive been workn 50+ hours a week for the last 8 yrs, Our crew keeps getting bigger and the tonnage keeps going up! go figure
When I first started driving it was $0.43 a liter. LOL....I'm getting old.
I remember $0.59 a gal. I was driving a 73 Camaro and it cost $12.00 to fill up!! Boy those were the days! It got 10 miles to the gal and I didnt give a crap!!
