I defiantly miss my garage. At least I live out in the country though... but then again my driveway is gravel.

Alright... so we're on the same track. You would have to hard mount the bottom of the cylinder and the top of the coil some how... so the fluid coming in would push against the coil. That's were the whole spring rate thing comes into play... you might have to use a variable spring rate spring or something... or even do a cover over through a bag... hahaha. then you'd have even more shit going on.

Almost thinkin of just goin with accumulators. much simpler

I just like the idea of having a coilover cause you can use the tuner-style adjustable coilovers so that you can adjust the suspension up to maintain a scrub line. if needed.

Tons simpler... just run a tee somewhere and screw the accum in. And if you run coils and accums, you can run a slow down valve, so then you still get that hydro snap. I've even seen dudes run dumps instead of slowdowns so you can remotely turn them on and off. But you have to have dumps that are open when power is off instead of the other way around.

How would you get the cylinder through that style of coilover though?

This type of setup, just slips over. My friend at the machine shop said he could make me a set to fit out of stainless, with a larger nut to make it stronger

Hmm... I don't know about that man... But if you could get it to work right it might be cool. But if you're going that way, why not just do bags? Their spring rates changes with the psi.

Sell it and buy air? There's not alot of room in the front of our trucks to run coils... unless you're building a lowrider, Which usually don't lay frame. You gotta cut a lot of the upper control arm to layout with coils.
