I got my truck about 3 months ago, it was my birthday present, the reason I chose the truck was, I knew the owner well so I knew the history, I also knew my parents were hurting for money at the time, but I could tell they wanted to get me a car. So I pointed the b22 out to them, and a few weeks later we picked it up for 400 bucks.

I actually just bought my first B series today. '90 B-2200 w/124k miles. The guy I bought it from was auto tinkerer supreme and had replaced a lot of worn parts and given it a killer tune up. It flew through DEQ with no problems, runs and drives great. I paid $1300 cash. It has a few dings but it an original body.

I was looking for something that gets better mileage than my wrangler. Not only does this do that but gives me some carrying room. I'll get pictures by this weekend.

Interesting topic. The 90 that I have was purchased new. Was looking for a new vehicle and was very interested in mini-trucks. Originally was looking at a Isuzu but it was even more gutless than the Mazda. Didn't like the Fords or Chevys at the time, so got me a brand new truck. That was 130,000 miles ago.

The daughters truck was actually purchased as a parts truck. After I got what I wanted, i guess I kinda got talked into building something for her.

Drove past my truck a lot because it was parked at the end of a street near me and I always thought about going and seeing if I could buy it, then one day it came up for sale and i was there the next day buying it for $2000

i dunno man i've always had good mileage with mine, except when the truck is having issues, usually got about 580-630km or so, for a 55L tank, so not tooo bad

i had bought mine from an old man around the corner from me for 1300.00 2 years ago. i had been after the old man to sell it to me for 10 years... since the day i turned 16 i had been asking him every month for it.....lol i loved the body lines and the way it looked.....also for 30.00 you can have it slammed and there are little custom things you can do for little or no money and they look like they came that way from the factory......plus if you have 4x4 sheetmetal on a 2wd truck... then you know the pain and heartache of having to look and look and look for it........because its so rare.

My first B2000 (an '87) was sitting in my brother's yard for 2 years as an incomplete project. I got it for $5 when he sold his house and had to move the truck. Spent about $700 getting it back on the road... only to find out the headgasket was dying.

My second B2000 (an '86) cost me $280 and it was going to be the parts truck for my '87. That one suffered a catastrophic il leak and the engine practically seized. It's currently sitting in my driveway taking up space.

The third B2000 (an '86) I'm looking at is going for an inspection tomorrow or Friday. The guy wants $700 but if the inspection is good I'm going to offer him $500 simply because it needs a new windshield, fenders, seats and the bed has some nice holes in it.

These are all 5spd, no frills, cheap transportation for my reno business I have on the side... so I'm hoping I can write off the repairs as business expenses.

Cheers !!
