Just wondering..for kicks..
-Why did you pick a B2000/2200/2600(S)?
-How much did you pay for it(them)?
-When did you buy it(them)?
-Post a pic if you've got one.

-Needed something cheap, good on gas, and to haul some stuff across the province a few times. It's always been pretty good to me.
-$600
-July 2006

The looks of the 86-93 mazda is IMO one of the nicest cleanest looking trucks ever built. Even today with little upgrades to the headlights to a more modern sealed headlight. They look great and not out of place. The first time I saw my uncles 85 B2000 (yes the title said 85) I feel in love.

First one of my own. 86 B2000 LX I paid $200 for it in 2002. I started to do a V8 swap and then ran out of money and fell on hard times. Had to sell her for scrap I died a little that day.

mine is a 93 b22k, i got it on my late grandfathers b'day june 25 1993, it was one of the last two on the lot, and the new 94's had just gotten there & the dealer was running an independance day sale.....I had driven and s10, ranger, mitsu & yota, and ended up with this one after finangeling with the dealer for two days, window sticker listed it @ just over 14k, I gave $3 shy of $10k.....It was my first vehicle, & it's been thru a grewling 159k miles, but when I finally get done with it, she should be just like new, but only better....

i picked mine up for $200.. overheated, bad carb.. no exhaust. but it was a project from the early 90's.. a guy had made his own tailgate skin from sheetmetal (but looked decent!) and had an old phantom grille.. shaved doors and static dropped with the chain setup. haha. it's getting bagged now. i think they're the cleanest looking trucks, with nice lines, and it just flows.

i came across my first mazda for the sole reason that i was looking for an ext cab pickup. i couldnt fit in my BDd std cab ranger anymore. i got the mazda for $1500 and fell for every part of the truck. they have sweet bodylines, very simple mecahnicals and good to drive. i picked up the daily that i got now because i didnt feel right driving a car. somebody had given me a very high mileage 626 for free and i traded it straight across for my other mazda.

1) I always liked this body style. When they came out I remember thinking, That thing already has a body kit! (At the time I was rolling a Nissan 720 with Ronal r-9 wheels and a body kit ) How did I end up with one? In early 91, I had just replaced the head gasket on my 720 and it started to pour white smoke out the exaust again. I went on a mission to buy a new truck. First, I wanted a Toyota, but the sales guy was such a DICK, that I went across the street to buy my Mazda.

2) A little less than 9g... to begin with.... who knows how much now after three complete builds!

3)March 1991
