is it hard to dismount tires by yourself?

i have a set that i want off and i was wondering if i can do it myself. i'm throwing them out so i can cut them up and stuff. is it possible? maybe with some help from a flame torch?

Dismounting is easy. It can be done with a pry bar and your knees. Mounting them is a whole nother story. Especially when you're mounting 48s on some 20s and no one has a machine large enough...........

oh ok thanks that should save me some money. so mounting them is really hard? is it worth spending like $15 per tire?

dude a tire shop shouldn't charge you more then like $5 a tire for mounting on the rim....

Damn you pay 5 bucks for mounting a tire? Around here its about 20 per wheel. My neighbor has a tire machine though so its free for me

no i only pay $3 a tire.... most shops here are around $5 to mount.....

Usually costs about $60-80 for mounting and balancing a set of 4,and a disposal fee of $3 or $4 per tire.

every place was telling me about 20 per tire and then i called walmart and they said 3 for mounting and 5 for balancing

It's worth the price at WalMart not to have to dick with it.
