I know up here in the great white north and I do meen the great WHITE north you can take the vin go in and ask them to check it out here it cost $20.00 for a used package. On one of my trucks I had to bring in a bill of sale and the vin. by the time I was done $60.00 later the truck was mine. i would check it out first see if it is hot and even find out if the buyer has it in his name. If it comes back with any problems walk away.
