Just curious. Was browsing my old MT mags last night. I swear one of my favorite old school things was probably pathfinder wheels. That just screams old school to me. What is your favorite old school mini truck mod, or what screams old school mini trucker to you?

It kinda depends on your definition of "Old School" though. To me Old School mini-trickin refers to the type of truck built in the late 1980's/early 1990's. When Mini Truckin' Magazine first came out (cir. 1988). Some people think "old School" refers to the seventies or even the trad/rat rod movement.

I think the suicide doors, and tilt beds. Also the diamond tilt suicide hoods. Don't get me wrong, they are nice mods, even plan to do them myself.

Crash, that "fleckstone paint comment brings back good (bad?) memories. I remember one of my freinds had his whole dash fleckstoned.

I still don't understand the reason for that fleckstone.
I consider "old school" the late 80's, early 90's also. That is when I first got interested in Mini Trucking.

my budd had a mitsu with a targa top, "bow-legged wheels" 15x10 5 star, diamond tuck upholstery, snug top with a wing on it, ground effects & 8 15" kickers in the bed powered by phoenix gold 2125 amps....the darn'd snug top would flex 2" when the bass would hit....it was bright red & had a tetris block type paint scheme on the top.....man that was back in the day!
