So when I use the compressor, are you saying I need a diff. one to run the diff. freon? I figure thats why everyone is making the big deal about it?

I looked at the driver side where the ac compressor would go. I have the power steering bracket that mounts into two bolt holes, and then above it, there is threaded bolt holes. Right below the valve cover. I'm pretty sure thats where the ac compressor goes, right?

Should I install the ac and then get it serviced, or do they test the parts individually?

Idler pulley is the tensioner pully for the power steering.. Does'nt the ac compressor have its own belt? Cause I figure it would go on the last notch on the crankshaft pully nearest the front engine seal...

I called 2 junkyards and both said $250 for all ac parts. They said they would both go out and help me make sure I get all the parts I need! Although, its nice to know about the interior components as well!

If I end up doing this, I think a techie would be called for!
