Typically the ram is mounted to the top of the axel. I wanted something a little more compact - my rams are mounted outside the frame witht the lower mount being a heim joint connected approximately where the lower shock mount would be.
Again, typically most run a mini-coil and the leaf springs. I wanted a better ride so I am running a forward 4 link setup.
Usually 6" rams up front and 8-12" in the rear.
2 pump setups are designed to raise either the front or the rear. 4 dump setups allow lowering each corner individually. A 3 pump setup can either have 1 front and 2 rear pumps for crazy 3 wheel or 2 front and 1 rear for hopping. My setup has 4 pumps and 4 dumps.
