i wasnt wondering that... i just thought you and your dad sounded younger than that... im 26 and my dad will be 47 this year and he didnt get excited about either my current mazda or my previous mazda... would have been nice if he wanted to participate... but mini trucks has never been his world... he was into old school muscle then i dont know what happened... after the camaro was gone (69 with a 350 bored out, i was little i dont remember much about the car) he kinda lost interested in having a muscle car in the garage...
well when i say he used to mess with his cars, i mean like a rambler, vw bug, those sorts, i don't believe he ever had a minitruck, but he'd tinker with everything he owned, he tells me stories about them all the time... usually when i run across a picture of his dad or some car i've never seen before. yeah, he was really wanting to get into the muscle car thing, and the closest he got was an old beatup mustang he traded for some work he did to some otherguy's mustang. dam thing didn't even have an engine...lol... and mom was pissed when he got one and had it all over the living room puting it together.... even had a hole in front of the passenger seat...... you could see the pavement...... lol, not so safe then but funny as hell now.... then mom put the stang in a ditch and other than it actually still starting when he got it home, that was the end of that, they traded it off....
as far as your dad not getting excited, have you asked him for advice or maybe a hand in the labor? just wondering.... you probly have but just thought i'd ask....
hmm another case of the sickness.........
starting to sound like an epidemic,
lol
welcome
and yes we looove pics so even a blown head gasket pic is entertaining to us
ROFL, don't worry, the work might go slow but pics is one thing i can do... well when i get time off and good lighting outside...lol
yeah ive asked him about different things here and there... help on stuff i dont have the tools or knowledge for. usually he gives his 2 cents, hands me the tools and has me do it myself. he really only tinkers on his own stuff only when it needs to be fixed or tuned up. he's been impressed with what ive done for as little as ive done it and hes proud that ive been able to purchase someones old broken ride and fix it to be a dependable daily driver for myself. he just doesnt seem to have a drive for custom stuff. for him custom is ordering a new exhaust for his harley and bolting it on.
aaaaaaaaaahhh bolt on!!!!!!...lol
its a harley... and hes an old guy who works for boeing... everything is bolt on for him. did i mention his harley is a 2010...?
