I am new

So this is my first post, I'm hoping to learn a lot here. My name is Jeff, I live in Boise. I just bought a 91 B2200 as a winter ride, and maybe a future project. My real project is a Honda CRX that I bought "just to get around," but it has since become a major money pit, and it's not really daily driver material these days.

Craigslist came through in the clutch when I saw this truck for sale for $375 just 3 blocks from me, and I walked away with it for $350. It has 176k miles. It's not perfect, it's throwing a lot of white smoke out the tailpipe, and the coolant looks oily, so I think it has a bad head gasket. I'll be tackling that in a few days. The previous owner also broke the key off in the ignition, so right now it starts with a screwdriver. It will need a stereo too, all it has right now is a bunch of wires where a head unit would be. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with it, so on with the pics.




Can anyone tell me if the black molding down the sides is stock? At first I assumed it was, but I've yet to see it on any other B-series.

welcome. good starting point for the money. as far as the molding might be as simple as parts store add on stuff.

Thanks. There isn't anything wrong with my CRX, but it has become a car that I would rather take out only on sunny days. I moved to Idaho from Georgia last winter, and I decided then that I wouldn't put the CRX through another winter.

by the way do you ever take your car to firebird?

I've been out to Firebird once. I only got two runs, and I was running in the 13s trapping at 114 mph. The problem is traction, since open diff + street tires + 300 hp = no damn traction. lol.

welcome man. the truck looks like a clean little daily. the moulding looks like what i had on mine. the chrome sections remove and there are pop rivets that hold the rubber on. the cr-x is badass. glass roof is a very clean install. thats an uber rare option in japan i know. i had a 2000 civic si and now have a 2001 honda cr-v as a daily. looking to get an ek hatch next year and do a boosted gsr in it. let us know if you need any help on the truck man.

welcome to the scene bro, i love crx and glass top is fukin awesome! very rare jdm, ive only seen it like 3 times and one was on the twin crx's. truck looks good too any help with anything just post it and there will probably be an answer
