had a '00 sonoma about 4-5yrs back, sold it 4 yrs ago and drove a '94 integra sedan for awhile. got too many tickets, took it off road for 3.5yrs. brought it back on this past april and drove it all summer. spitting a bit of oil right now and a little lazy to look into it at the moment. buying a beater b2200 from a colleague, gonna cost around $800-850 all said and done, cert, etest, plates, tax, etc...

it's an '89 b2200 ext cab

i'll be doing some minor exterior mods to it... already have 3" belltech lowering blocks to put in. will be looking for some cheap wheels instead of these steelies. will likely need front shocks soon.

want to change fluids when i get it next weekend. oil, atf, brake, coolant... is gm synchromesh atf ok to use in these trucks? it recommends dexron II... i already have the other stuff from my gf's cavalier (extra, that is).. won't be using synthetic oil, likely castrol gtx unless there's a reason these trucks hate that oil?

also... i know midnightmike from a previous club that was started (and subsequently ended a couple yrs later) by a couple friends.. ontario tuners organization.. mike is a wicked guy and i'll be bugging him lots with questions hahaha

Welcome to the site. I probably wouldn't use the synthetic oil in it.If it's a high milage truck it will burn alot more if you use synthetic.

Yours looks like a typical ontario rust bucket piece of crap like all 3 of mine were. Shoul dbe fun to tear into.

i didn't say synthetic oil.. gm synchromesh atf tranny fluid...
i plan on just regular castrol gtx oil

welcome and i think it is a rule that all mazdas come with a beat up bumper ever one i see looks the same all f****ed up

Mine had the big speed hole on the passenger side of the bumper. Why they all rot there, I can't figure out.
