And HOLY SHIT did you make your own triple convoluted slam bag?? I think you have a special edition bag that produces extra bellows as you use it. I don't think I've ever seen a bag fail like that. Funny looking for sure.
those where the 1st edition slam bags. once i showed them those pics, they mailed me out two brand new ones. i have no problems to report, and their customer service was awesome. i didn't even buy the bags from them, they wanted to keep a good repuation and sent me out the new ones, no questions asked.
At some point I guess any bag is going to fail. Be it from time or a manufacturing defect, they'll all need replaced eventually. At least they hooked it up for ya.

pulled out and new one rebuilt..
broke the bell housing, so out comes the engine/trans combo..
while new trans is being built, grinding, painting and smoothing the chassis/firewall before everything goes back together..
bk2life i was looking at the pic of your steering linkage and it looks like you have two knuckles. Where did you pick them up from? Ive been looking for a few days and no luck. Also what size are they? Thanks and good luck getting things back together.
