I have been fighting this issue on and off for about 8 months now. At first I thought it was the battery, so I replaced it. Then later I noticed it was the grounds so I upgraded them. Then a few months later it would only start if I held the key and shifted from P to N. So I purchased a new P/N safety switch/module that mounts on the tranny (because I could not get it to turn over). Anyway no luck and it's parked where I can't get a jack under it. Guess I need to get it pulled to the another area. I have yet to replace the positive wire that runs to the starter or get the starter checked out.
Anyone else had this problem?
Possibly the column. I had a 96 model that wouldn't start unless I held the shifter up in the neutral position. I replaced the column with a new one and worked fine after that.
Thanks, I'll look into that.
Just whacked the started with my BFH and it started right up. I moved it so I can get a jack under it now.
Thanks for the help!
