BUILD IT FOR HOW YOU USE IT. I PULLED MY BIG BLOCK AND THREE SPEED OUT, AND PUT IN A SMALL BLOCK AND OVER DRIVE. I REBUILT IT. WENT WITH A LITTLE BIGGER CAM, HAD EVERYTHING CLEANED UP. RUNS GOOD. GOOD POWER. GOOD MILAGE. I'LL DROOL LIKE A DOG IN HEAT AT THE BLOWER SITTING OUT OF THE HOOD OF ANYTHING, BUT I LIKE MY 18 MPG, AND LOW RPM CRUISING SPEED.
What LOWBOY said is a good answer and if you are going to use it just for show build the piss out of it. If you are going to street it on long trips build it for gas mileage and pulling. JM2C
yea it will be a street motor but i have a feeling as much as i will say it will be a tow/show truck it will end up more show then towing and i wil lget another truck to tow
plus i need to find the 2 month article in truckin for the 454 motor build they did
You can always build it to be a great street/tow motor and still dress it nice enough for show.....
yeaaaa I was about to type that... I'd focus on detailing the piss outta it, and keep away from like 12:1 or anything crazy.
yea that is what i think i am leaning towards keep it mostly stock internal but make her purty
Just sell me the 454 and buy all the other stuff you need
