Painting over LED questions

Been trying to decide on tail lights and have been thinking about going with LEDs and painting over them but I don't know what limitations there are. What colors can be used? Does the paint color alter the light color?

Can anyone answer these questions? I am sure the person I am having do the work will know these answers but I am interested in knowing.. Thanks..

it depends on the paint color you are going with and also what look you are going for, if you are trying to paint the leds the same color as the vechile then the painter will have to over reduce the paint and just give it two light coats. but i would be careful as it is you will have problems with led's thanks to fine people over at DPS, this is how i did mine i have had these hi tech led's for the last 6 years

I am going with a really light color. It's a VW special edition color that is a powder blue that almost looks white.

i assume you mean vapor blue, if so yes the lighter the easier and above is exactly how you do it.
