I'm sheeting metaling my bed, and I plan to have a spray-in liner done afterwards, but what's the best way to go about doing this, should I only tack weld the panels in every inch or so? Should I weld it solid? What about prepping it for the liner, should I seam seal all the joints, or should I use body filler?? Any ideas and pros or cons will help greatly!! thanks
i say weld it solid may take awhile but it will be stronger dont run a continous bead cuz then ull run into warping problems stitch weld it (say like u would for shaving door handles) and id say seam seal it
weld it solid no doubt.... stitch weld an inch at a time alternating sides and after done grind any tall tacks down then body work the seams.... spray in bed liner hides NOOOTTTHHHIIINNNGGG
Deffinately get it completely tack welded like they said.
Pascal, i like the bed of that truck. clean and simple.
Like said above, Spray in liners hide NOTHING.... found this out the hard way, and its almost impossible to fix it.
