im lookin for some pics., do's and don'ts, advice, any help possible... workin on a 86 mazda b2600. the problem we're runnin into is with the motor we're runnin, it is gonna stick up about 2 inches from the hood line. i dont wanna just cut some hole out in the hood and let it stick thru.. we're wantin to pretty much build a cowl hood out of the stock one. i guess im lookin to see if anyone's got a few tricks that could save me a lot time and frustration later on. thanks...
just lower the motor and go with the stock hood. the look you achieve is priceless. but if you insist on having a cowl then u can cut the factory hood raise it up and re sheetmetal the sides.
ya i have no choice.. the motor we're puttin in it will stick out. we already lowered it as far as possible..
buy a steel cowl hood section and weld it on.
bump... anybody got any pics on the process???
Here is one I did. Truck got wrecked so the hood never got finished. Going to do a new frame up front and a motor swap to try to get a stock hood on it.
thanks man... u got any step by step pics... i got a good idea on how im gonna tackle this... just lookin for some ideas.. thanks.
