one other guy posted in the other satin paint thread that is stickied about mixin in acetone to thin out the rustoleum he used but never mentioned a mix ratio...anyone have any idea on it might be.....or at least a general rule of thumb to go by????

just play with the ratio on some junk parts til you like the results.....then you can share like a paint guru,lol

on the can it says 15% thinner to 1 qt..i just mixxed it till i thought it was thin anuff to spray

you can use any paint or color you desire if you are going to clear it with a flat or matte clear. you can choose any color in any paint line to suit your needs (budget, desired colors) and then just clear it with a flat clear. I use a product from debeers. You should be able to get it at any auto body paint supplier that carries that paint line. Just ask for DeBeers flat clear. Real easy to spray and looks sweet when flattened out. One coat for super flat, two for satin, three for semi gloss.   Josh <ST> FL
