Keep it traditional. I loved having to squeeze under the dash and almost being able to touch the ground by reaching my hand out of the window of my old fullsize. I look at it as a joy of a bodydropped truck not an inconvience of not having room, but I'm a skinny guy.

Ive not heard anyone else have this problem but, when we did mine(in a weekend also)everything was cut and the cab just would not go down! We checked and re-checked every cut and could not find what was holding it up. After about 45 min we realized the steering shaft on the column had to be sectioned about .75"....after that it was a breeze. Good luck man, and take your time, it sucks having to go back and fix old work believe me.
