How solid are hydros without accumulators? Does Press affect ride quality like bags?

The fluid will not compress to dampen the ride. The only flex you will get if any is in the lines. I believe it would be rough as hell.

It would have zero suspension (without coils).

if you dont have coild it will be rough...but with minicoils it will be bouncey...i had them on my truck...its kinda fun...u never need accumulators in the front if u have springs...u only need them in the back...putting them in the front is a waist of 200 bucks...but if ut hunna put no coils on ur vehicle...it will be a rough ride...our very bouncey...and i will put lots of stress on the vehicle

On the topic of coils,
If you run the correct spring rate (even use factory coils) and a shock there is no reason why the ride shouldn't be the same as stock. I'm currently doing an install in my vehicle consisting of a hydrualic cylinder for lift and a fox coilover for dampening. A setup like this is ideal, but not always possible. Fitting a coil, shock, and cylinder requires some creativity, but it can be done. Typically the lowrider guys don't use shocks (which is why they're so bouncy) since it slows down the rebound for hopping. If you're only interested in ride quality and adjustibility (as we are at Hydrholics) then shocks are a must if you're installing coils without accumulators. Hit me up if you have further quesitons.

I don't understand why springs would be used? Doesn't that negate the reason for hydraulics in the first place?
For a spring to function means you are going to lose at least a couple inches of drop.

got any pics of the coilover/hydro setup?? it sounds like your gonna have the best riding adjustable suspension ever...
