maybe they are different makers or wattage on the light. I bought a replacement bulb for the Benz the other day and it was way off so I returned it and got a factory one from my buddy at the Benz junkyard

I ran into a problem once like that and I found out that there was 2 sets of fuses for the headlights. One fuse inside and 2 fuses under the hood in the 2nd fuse block. One for each headlight. You might want to check to see if you have that situation too. I can't remember what truck it was on, but I do remember the same problem.
