86-93 Mazdas are 58.625" wide.
Pre 86 I believe was 54.5" when I did the swap. It cleared the bed well with Escalade wheels, left about 3/4" from the tire to the framerail.

Found another donor. 85 Nissan. Rear end measurers 56.25" Did a test fit and clears my 17" Escalades with easily an inch to the fender. Although I will need to either make an adaptor for the drive shaft or find a dual sized U-Joint. Then possibly shorten the drive shaft too.
Also stumbled across an Isuzu too not sure the year though. Measured about 57.5"
