mine has lasted like 4 years.. and alot of them are remanufactured oem starters.

and mine did the same thing. it would work sometimes and sometimes it wouldnt. and testing it doesnt always work.. since it works sometimes. i manage an auto part store. i changed mine and it go rid of the problem

Ya same thing happen to my dime just replace the starter and you will be good. Most of them out of checker have life time or like 36 month warrenties.

If you had the starter checked and it's fine. You may have a loose ground. Don't forget about the grounds! A weak ground will make it sound like the starter is going bad.
