ive gota 06 dodge neon kicking my ass right now. hit in the LR body, had to replace the quater, and all inner body panels and pull the rail. i think i did over 100 spot welds today. yaay not. other then that, weve gota 57 tbird in we did a while back that the owner was cutting grass and slug a rock through the window of his garage. a 74 vette we did a while back also, had a small bubble coming back in the fiberglass in a stress point. a 72 chevelle, all over. its getting blocked and just got jammed monday. sounds like alot, and theres only 3 of us. we do collision and custom work. we use a dupont mixing system, keystone primer(i love that stuff), keystone body filler(same as rage gold, but half the price lol). other then that just bascially all 3m adhesives. we gota 10ton,3 tower frame rack that we got used and i cant remember the name of and i was on it all day lol. a mo clamp measuring system that gathers dust, if i cant measure it with a tram gauge and a tape measure, it dont need to be measured

Not good quality because theyre all cell phone pics but you get the picture. Ive only been doin this professionally since april but been doing small stuff at home for like 10 years. The only thing I hate is that our painter just doesnt care about anything and it really shows in his work.

Me too. I thought we were doing good at 48. lol and I forgot the camera in the tool box oh well maybe tomorrow.

So can how do your bosses feel about side work and working on your own stuff. Mine is down he even helped till like 9pm the night before we left for dropzone. he says as long as it doesnt cost him money he doesnt care what I do. And at that he doesnt charge me for some of the stuff I use. But it is nice to have a full shop to use whenever I want.

We arent really busy most of the time. Some weeks are better than others. I dont even think we get 40 per hour, its rediculous. Im in this shop to learn and get enough experience on my resume to move on to a better place. I do love this work though.

No side work here except at home, owner of my shop is a major dick. He gave me a chance though so I shouldnt say that... but he is.

i just noticed... why are the handles cut out in a few? quicker to take handle out w/o going thru the inside & since you're not reusing the panel anyway...
