full skin question

on the full skin on my taco bed where the taillights are there is a gap does this need to be filled or not and does anyone got pics ....and here is what im talkin about

i would fill it with some sheet metal.

if youre keeping stock lights, yes fill it.

I filled it on mine just to keep crap from getting in there, just cut a piece of sheetmetal.
