History of Clubs

If anyone knows, post up some stories of the History of some of the old clubs and ones that have been around for many many years. Like what club did the starting members come from to start the big one. I heard rumors years ago that the Midwest/South //RA was started by boys from Subtle Concepts. Any truth to that?

thats cool, i dont ever look at magazines. since we do alot of renderings id rather try and not pick up on others ideas.

our club started in 1990 and lasted until about 2003. some of us still hang out and just had our annual picnic where old members come to meet up and anyone is invited. our club name cam from the old brand Local Motion

GEORGE ALLEN AND MYSELF WERE WORKING ON A FRIENDS TRUCK, DRINKING BEER AND WE TOOK A BRAKE TO GO INSIDE TO LOOK AT SOME PORN !! LOL ,, WE START TO TALK ABOUT GETTING OUT OF THE CLUB WE WERE IN DUE TO THE FACT IT HAD TO MANY BULLSHIT RULES,THE PRES. WAS ALWAYS IN A BAD MOOD, IF WE FUCKED OFF AT A SHOW HE WOULD GET PISSED (THOUGHT HE WAS OUR DADDY ) LOL ! IT TOOK THE FUN OUT OF IT! SO WE GOT ON THE NET AND STARTED TO LOOK UP NAMES THAT WAS NOT BEING USED! WE CAME UP WITH VERTICALLY CHALLENGED ,,THE ONLY OTHER PEOPLE USING IT WAS SOME GUYS IN AR. AND I CONTACTED THEM , THEY SAID IT WAS A FEW OF THEM BUT THEY STOPPED RUNNING IT AS A CLUB AND WE COULD HAVE IT !! SO WE STARTED OUR OWN CLUB.. BASED ON THE SCENE THE WAY IT SHOULD BE,, HAVING FUN, WORKING ON OUR RIDES, MEETING PEOPLE AND JUST GETTING ALONG!! WE DIDN'T

Relaed Atmosphere was started in Southern Caifornia back in 1991 By three friends that were tired of being in other clubs. We started branching and creating other chapters a year after the club was started and the rest is history.

Our club isnt a big one but My Friend Pat and myself started it back in 98. We kept coming up with names that were already taken, then one day I thought of LOWER INTENTIONS. We checked all over the internet and couldnt find it so it stuck. I know now there are some names that come extemely close but as far as I know we were the first.

TOYZ R Us Show Custom Truck Club was started back in 1985 in the San Fernando Valley. Three guys started it Sergio and two brothers, Gilbert & Greg. We only allowed Toyota trucks back then, with the exception of the mascot. Our club has never done the chapter thing. However in the late 80s I remember us having 40 plus minis and over 25 4x4s, all show vehicles, we had 4x4s with spinning beds, mini trucks with hydros on the beds and suspension and some of the wildest paint jobs you could image, stereos that would flip half dollars over if you laid them on the shells, interiors that were so crazy that you were afraid to lay sit in them. Our numbers have gone up and down over the years but we have stayed strong throughout. About 8 or so years ago we relaxed our rules a little bit so as to allow Chevy or GMC, mini & full sizes trucks and SUVs as members. We are also now open to chapters. We have a very successful show 5 years running and we have a lot of friends out in the club scene. You can check us out or holar at us at www.toyzrus.net
