Stockfloor and traditional is the way to go. My mazda has both and is at flat rocker, about 3.5" bd with no real headroom loss.

you should stock floor it while your doing your Z. knock out 2 birds with one stone, and then you dont have to worry about head room.

is yours stock floored and traditional?

Yes it is both SFBD and Trad bd. If your going to the doors its the only way to do it if you still plan on fitting in your truck. Im also planning on choping my top to. My seats are mounted real low and i have a few inches of head room to go.

this subject has been beaten to death, and everyone has a different opinion on it. but most agree that 2x2 flexes to much to just replace your frame rail with. but i think if you were to add another frame rail on the inside of each existing frame rail it might make it strong enough. and I would also add a few X-members to help add strength. but if I were you I would stick with 2x3 and if you want to go lower just channel the cab a bit.
