Ok guys I finally broke down and got six 22" semi wheels for a smoking Deal I couldnt pass up...
I been looking at different pictures I found on streching fenders but no how to do write ups or sticky.

We mocked up fender with tape and had a few questions. The tape were WHY is written is why do we cut there?

Any other details would be helpful as how much to cut inch wise, ect.

I dont mean to hi jack your thread, but I have a couple questions for you....
1) What was your great deal on your wheels?
2) Have you shortened your axle already?

I ask cause I question that I still need to narrow my rear end seeing the fenders are already stretched. Was wondering if your semi's will actually fit. I'm not looking forward to spending so much on prepping before I ever even purchase the damn wheels. LOL

I had a picture of my fenders when we first did them, but for the life of me cant find them?? i think its easier going thru old school developed pictures than it is goin thru files and files on the computer LOL...

I will keep looking tho...

And my fenders werent cut on ANY of those lines you have on there...

If it means anything Im running 3/4 ton rear axle (shorter)

I found this one. Kinda hard to see with the shadows. But you can kinda see we just did one straight cut, then lifted the top about 4".

There was a green on with a bike in bed and they cut same way as well.

Yes, running all six 22s.... IMO my dually was wide enough, no way I wanted to make it wider, plus I think it looks "off".. with the unusually wider fenders, but thats just my taste. I like it to "look stock", but just hammered to the ground!

By looking at the pictures of those fenders, it was ALOT more man hours and headaches to do it that way then to just narrow your rear end....

ALSO... if youre not planning on body dropping it you will not have to raise them as high as i had to raise mine...

Do u have any shots of yours from the back underneath frame ? All u did was narrow ur rear? How much did that run you?

You can either narrow your 1 ton rear end, which is gonna probably run you around $800? maybe cheaper if youre not in Southern California LOL

or

you can run various different rearends. Youll see posts on this site about C&C rear ends and more. Mine was a '96 3/4 ton rearend. I picked it up at an off-road shop for $500. I guess guys that have 3/4 ton trucks switch over to 1/2 ton running gear for certain applications?? I dunno? Didnt ask LOL

So what did you have to do to that rearend what did you change to make it work on your truck? Also what year truck did you get it off of does it matter and how much shorter did it make it overall?
