Not really much different than painting a hood or something.. Just prep it real good and use a etching primer and paint it.
yea like he said.. same as any other prime base clear bla bla bla..
i was just wandering as far as heat issues and stuff if i had to do anything but if its like painting a hood or anything like that then its easy
por15 makes engine paint that ive had very good experience with.
painted the block and EVERYTHING on my Hardbody about 7 years ago, no issues with heat. not even around exhaust manifold.. be carefull of oil leaks though-- it will stain.
I had over heating issues on a d16z. I painted it with the rattle can engine paint from checker. came out pretty clean, dont know for sure if it was the paint or if I f'ed up somewhere on the rebuild. probably the latter........
Just in case I do paint again,
Whats the best way to prep the engine (getting into the crazy nooks)?
thanks
thanks for all the info i have the block completly torn down right now and smoothed out wiht a roloc disc and fixing to start
if the block is stripped down, just take it to a machine shop and have it tanked that will strip the block clean as hell. thats what i did when i had all the block work done and have had no paint probs at all.
