Did anyone read the editorial in the newest minitruckin? One of them(I don't remember which) was talking about getting ready for sema. Any way they had some milled semi wheels and where mounting the tire when the entire rear lip blew off !!!! Said it could have killed someone. It sounded like the wheels came from diesel wheels.
Makes a guy wonder about it don't it? It may not be as easy to do it as some people claim. And it may not be as safe as some people claim.
I looked for a pic on the internet but couldn't find one. There is one in the mag though. I think there is a blue ranger on the cover with a huge breasted girl standing in front of it.

It wasn't really an article, just one of their little columns the writers write. They were discussing getting ready for sema(snore) and the problems they were encountering(boo hoo). Not much detail just that it blew off with a lot of force and there was about a 1" x 1" picture below it.

I've seen enough people get hurt or fuck up wheel(s) trying to mount low-profile tires that I'd be inclined to blame this one on operator error until proven otherwise.

I don't care how bad you screw up mounting tires you should never be able to separate the outside of the rim.

Itlooks like the set they mounted have been heavily machined more than needed. Reso on pic is low but thats what it looks like to me.
