i am glad you and your family are o.k., and i know first hand how this hurricane stuff is. you just can't fathom the devastation these things bring until it happens. i used to ride them out, but we left for katrina due to the size and the speeds of the winds. after seeing the aftermath, i NEVER underestime these bitches any longer, it just isnt worth it. good luck over there my texas homies, keep your heads up. later, brian

Seems like mother nature always wins with these things.

growing up in a place where the worst act's of mother nature that we see is flooding. so right out of high school I'm on a job in Augusta Ga. when my sheltered life was over thats when andrew hit land in charleston Sc I was in aw of the winds and rain that came and then the next day we went over to the coast and I couldn't belive the devistation the one big thing that stands out in my memory was driving down the hwy and all the suden we were on the beach no road no nothing and we were about a 1/2mile from the ocean and when you did see a structure their whould be a car or boat stuck in the second floor upside down. then I had to go to jacksonville fl to recover some storage tanks that blew away (if I remember right they were 14'x30') we never found one and one was found almost 5miles away from the plant
so I guess I have some what of an insight of what you all went through and I feel for you

We finally got our power back on this afternoon. Its amazing how much you miss it when its gone.
