what all roung with the truck you got jay not being a dick head but just wundering??
all so be carful win messing with vins
i had a guy get his truck sezed be cuz the vins were all roung you whant them all to match what ever the frame is on ares thars one one the back of the frame top of the rall and on the frount of the frame top of rail thars no hiden ones on the cab just the vin in the dash DONOT drill the rivits out
cut it out all the way to the window seal and reatach it that way thars speshel rivits we cant get them and inspectors and the state putrol are trand to look for this expeshely on custom shit dont be fooled thar not stupit and if you lie to them you go to jail for purgury
i know this for a fack from pursanal expereance

What you may have to do is retitle it. Do it as a rebuild, but then you end up with a state issued vin, which a lot of people see the same as a salvage title. I bought a suburban one time like that. It had a new vin riveted in the door jam.

the only reason im changin the cab is because i have it.. i like the 88 dash better and it just needs less work because its newer. if i hadnt gotten the 88 for so cheap i wouldnt be changin the cab.

BRO!!! All you had to do was swap dash pads and instument clusters. The steel portion of the dash didn't change from '73-'91.
