Not this truck but this style... look... call it what you want but if you lived in the Los Angeles area in the mid to late 80's this is what a clean, not over the top truck looked like... this is "YBLEGAL" A mini that Tito and BMC have named their all time favorite.

For me it was on a beer run. I had a couple of bucks to go to the store and get some beer( yeah I was only 15). Instead a came back with the November 1997 issue of MiniTruckin (I still have the mag). well now I know the truck is called "SIDE SHOW" That 1 mag changed my life forever. Besides "side show" ," Joe Millionare" and "skinned alive" J.J. Warren's "VEGAS ROLLER" is my alltime favorite truck. But can you tell?

man the memories, i grew up in LA in the 80's and this is all i would see driving around town, blazer wing and all.

My moms sisters all dated cholos with lowriders lol...but one of my moms sister, Lulu, dated a guy named Juan who had a big family, his brothers and cousins were all into minitrucks and belonged to a club called Cities Finest. Courtney "tito" even remembers them, they were from the La Puente, Hacienda Heights, and Azusa area of LA. They had about 50 members and met at he park in downtown La Puente every sunday.

I remember the club presidents truck, it was a white nissan 720 witha shell and a mural on the side of the shell, on the mural was a a lake outside of LA, i think it was supposed to be leg leg lake, or something like that fight off the 60 fwy...i know long story right. but anyways, in the mural was a a picture of the truck also, lol. it had a tilt shell. ha ha, nobody does tilt shells anymore.

good times, those are my memories and i guess thats what influenced me to this day.

Mine would first off have to be my dad's Datsun 720, when i was little it was the baddest truck on the block. My moms B2200 was bada** too, my pops lowered it when they first started going out. I grew up a mini-trucker and have been for my 17 years of life. But I think it was the March 2001 issue of MT, it was a bright a** yellow s-dime rockered on an 18/20 combo that got me started. I think the owner called it something like "boner" yellow or something, but that truck was THEE SHEEET, MANG!!!!!
