whats the best stuff to use to get overspray off of new chrome wheels
Depending on the type of overspray you can try a few things. I just got done dealing with it on 1 of my wheels. Claybar didnt do a thing because mine were bad, but if they're not too bad, I'd try that first. Lacquer thinner didnt do much, so I hit it with some 000 steel wool. Worked great, and didnt scratch them.
neverdull and some elbow grease is another option to try
try blech white, if its not too bad that might work, spray it on the dry wheel, let it sit then rub it out and hose em down, good luck bud
with the steel wool would you want to keep it wet while scrubing
If it's a light mist, Acetone should do it. Use a soft rag and soak the wheel with it a couple time to soften it up then work it in. One thing, Acetone will not harm the finsh of the wheel but steel wool will scratch them. I would try Acetone or Lacquer thinner before any type of abrasive.
try some buffing compound that gets it off paint easy
I used clay magic and soapy water
id scrub it hard w/ virgin thinner or acetoen like they said. a clay bar should work to.
