Edelbrock used to sell a water injection system back in the 70's
(I don't know why I remember installing one) to combat pinging and cool cylinder head temp during hard acceleration. Worked with a microswitch on the carb linkage.
Had some tiny little pump that would ejaculate from the top of the air cleaner fitting....... from a quart plastic bottle.
It works.... I guess.... but had no real benefits, more of a Placebo effect.

Ya, that you have a bunch of crap to take off and throw in the trash.
If you could get the hydrogen into the fuel system it might work. But you are not going to make enough hydrogen and it will get too diluted down in the air stream.
