Well I'm about to order an escalade clip for the burban, and I was wondering if people had problems with the fitment from certain companies. (well aftermarket crap fits like.....well CRAP anyway but...) There is so many diffrent suppliers from diffrent companies I want to get the best I can, considering genuine GM parts will set me back $3000. I'd rather spend the other $1500 on ordering grant tail fillers so I can get the caddy tails I've had forever on and a rollpan. But anyway any input would be awesome.

there is a big fitment differnce between gm and aftermarket stuff on the escalade stuff. the aftermarket stuff is fine for a daily driver. if you are super picky about fitment than go with GM.

depends on whether you feel your patience is worth $1500. youll spend some time making everything line up correctly. plan on wallowing out mounting holes and using some washers as shims.

Like everyone else said, if you are picky about gaps and body lines being exact then you'd better get some gm parts. I have the kit from stylin concepts on mine right now, and the work was done by a professional body man. One fender is a litte higher than the door, the other is a little lower, and the gaps are a little larger than i like, and the upper body line on the passenger side doesnt line up exactly. And the antenna hole was misaligned, so it pointed out at an odd angle. I also ordered the cowl hood with the kit, and recieved two of them, one of which needed major body work, and the other looked worse (cowl was completely caved in)! With a lot of work it looks decent now, but way way far from perfect.

Sorry about the rant, but i figured some first hand experience might help with your decision.

DUDE.... get GM PARTS.. i cant bitch enough about how i hated the fitment of the "kit" parts. i got brand new gm fenders for 200ea, got a used perfect gm hood for 200 from someone that bought a cowl, i got a set of head (75) and park (50)lights off ebay, and ended up using the kit bumper cover and re-inforcing bar, all works good, the kit fender and hood lines were really jacked up, like a figgin snake, the upper and lower body lines in the fenders were not proportional. save your time (lots of it) and get gm parts, had a buddy at the stealership for a $70+ discount ea fender) have to shave the flare holes but that was gravy.. good luck..

also i lengthened my park light harness 10-12" (solder/heat shrink) cause the are really hard to reach when the grill is mounted. could get a front harness from an escalade and plug it in instead..

kit sheetmetal is thin, springy thin, once you cut the inner fender wall out you want all you can get..i drive my truck daily too, everywhere!
